More than 14,900 runners from across the country and the world converged Saturday in Charm City to take part in the Baltimore Running Festival.
The men’s marathon winner, Baltimore native Devin Horseman-Guy, ran the 26.2 miles in just over two hours and 25 minutes.
“Just coming down the stretch, all the people screaming, it’s just like, ‘Alright, all the work is done now,'” Horseman-Guy said. “These people are going to get me to the finish line.”
The women’s marathon winner, York, Pennsylvania, native Nicole Shelton, ran the 26.2 miles in just over two hours and 53 minutes.
“It wasn’t until the last mile that all of a sudden, maybe like half a mile to go, I could see first place right in front of me and I was like, ‘oh my gosh, I can actually win this,'” Shelton said.
The Baltimore Running Festival celebrated its 26th anniversary this year.
